Over the next few weeks, our friends over at The Tree will be hosting a series of calls to help climate communicators get ready for the G20 meetings the COP21 climate conference in Paris, as well as equipping you to talk about climate finance and climate adaptation.

COMMUNICATING ADAPTATION AND RESILIENCE

November 4 at 10:00 AM EST, The Tree team will be joined by a panel of experts to discuss communicating around climate change adaptation and resilience. Speakers will include Frank Nutter from Reinsurance Association of America; Adam Corner, from Climate Outreach; and Sven Harmeling from CARE International.

THE G20 AND FOSSIL FUEL SUBSIDIES

November 10 at 10:00AM EST, just days ahead of the G20 meeting in Antalya, Turkey, the Tree team will be hosting a call on what we can expect from the meeting and the group’s pledge of phasing out fossil fuel subsidies. Speakers will include David Turnbull from Oil Change International and Elif Gunduzyeli from Climate Action Network.

COP21: WHAT YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW

November 16 at 11:00 AM EST, join moderator Andrew Schenkel of The Tree for a discussion about the basics of COP21 in Paris. Speakers Keya Chatterjee, from US Climate Action Network, and Christian Teriete, from the Global Call for Climate Action, will help communicators of all shapes and sizes get up to speed on what the process is all about and why COP 21 in Paris is such a big deal.

COMMUNICATING CLIMATE FINANCE

At 10:00 AM EST, The Tree will host a discussion on how to communicate about climate finance. To help aid the discussion we will be joined by Sandra Guzman, from the Mexican Center of Environmental Law and Germana Canzi, from the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit.
